JAYA MANDALA IS A RECENT HEALTH SCIENCE GRADUATE FROM NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY AND A FUTURE DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY STUDENT, BEGINNING PT SCHOOL IN THE FALL. A FORMER COMPETITIVE GYMNAST AND COLLEGIATE COMPETITIVE POWERLIFTER, SHE HAS BUILT A STRONG FOUNDATION IN CALISTHENICS, STRENGTH TRAINING, AND FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT. 

DURING HER GAP YEAR BEFORE PT SCHOOL, JAYA IS WORKING AS A CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER, COACHING CLIENTS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITY LEVELS. WHILE NEW TO PERSONAL TRAINING, SHE BRINGS EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN INJURY PREVENTION, EXERCISE MODIFICATION, AND INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAMMING THROUGH HER WORK AS A PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE IN DIVISION I ATHLETICS, PROFESSIONAL SPORTS SETTINGS, OUTPATIENT CLINICS, AND THROUGH TEACHING BALANCE CLASSES FOR OLDER ADULTS.

JAYA IS PASSIONATE ABOUT CREATING AN INCLUSIVE, EMPOWERING TRAINING ENVIRONMENT WHERE ALL FITNESS LEVELS CAN COME TOGETHER AND GROW. HER GOAL IS SIMPLE: TO MAKE FUNCTIONAL FITNESS FUN, CHALLENGING, AND ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE. SHE BELIEVES IN TAILORING WORKOUTS TO EACH INDIVIDUAL’S GOALS AND NEEDS. HER COACHING STYLE BLENDS EVIDENCE-BASED TRAINING WITH ENCOURAGING, SUPPORTIVE INSTRUCTION—HELPING EVERY ATHLETE MOVE BETTER, FEEL STRONGER, AND BUILD CONFIDENCE THROUGH SMART, SUSTAINABLE PROGRESSIONS.
