TIM FOX
Yoga Instructor

Meet Tim!

Tim found Yoga after deciding he needed a shift in his life. Right before the pandemic, his mother was diagnosed with cancer, then the fear of a new virus kept him distant from the person whose embrace meant the most and he was between housing, looking at the possibility of living out of his Honda Civic with his dog. After a lifesaving conversation with a tele-therapist, he felt a shift toward doing anything that felt positive. A friend invited him to an outdoor yoga concert to which he said “That phrase makes me wanna puke, but sure.” It didn’t take long for him to be hooked. The practice calmed his anxiety, eased his depression, and gave him a sense of belonging.

Five months into practice, he began his teacher training, diving headfirst. Under the curriculum provided by Jesse Cassidy, Tim received his 200 RYT under “The Grateful Yoga” and shortly after began teaching. Now with over four years of experience, continued education with Jesse and a desire to learn and grow, the practice has Tim in a state of constant curiosity, practicing  meditation, BREATH-WORK, and spirituality; diving deeper into the mysteries of life.

Why does he teach? He wants to help others like this practice has helped him, to ease suffering and to remind all of us that we are love and we are loved.

Outside of Yoga, he enjoys dogs, journaling, music of all kinds, his guitars, books, movies, the ocean, a long walk in nature, and traveling as much as possible. He believes that all feelings deserve their place, but it’s our decision and power in how we respond.
